Current employees: step by step

Go to ess.costco.com and sign in with your employee credentials.
Open the Pay / Pay Stub section of Costco ESS (Employee Self-Service).
Pick the pay period you need — most platforms keep 1-3 years of statements.
Download or print the PDF. Save copies every few months; portal access ends when you leave.

Costco's ESS shows pay stubs and lets you manage direct deposit; warehouse admin can reset your login.

Former Costco employees: how to get your pay stubs

Once you leave Costco, your portal login is usually deactivated within days — often before you realize you need one more stub for a lease or loan. The reliable path:

Written request to payroll/HR — ask for “copies of my pay statements for [dates]”. Employers must retain payroll records for years (FLSA), and many states require them to provide copies to former employees on request.
W-2 route — annual totals come on your W-2 (mailed by Jan 31), and the IRS provides free Wage and Income Transcripts if it's lost.
Bank statements — every payroll deposit is evidence; lenders often accept deposits + W-2 in place of stubs.
Reconstruct your records — if you know your true pay figures, rebuild a clean records copy with our generator and pair it with bank statements.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get my Costco pay stubs after quitting?

Portal access typically ends at separation. Send a written request to Costco's payroll or HR department for copies of your pay statements — payroll records are retained for years, and many states require employers to provide copies to former employees. Meanwhile, bank statements plus your W-2 cover most proof-of-income needs, and you can rebuild a records copy from true figures with our generator.

Does Costco mail paper pay stubs?

Generally no — like most large employers, Costco delivers pay statements electronically through Costco ESS (Employee Self-Service). Print or save PDFs yourself if you need paper copies.

Can I make my own pay stub if I can't reach payroll?

For your own records, yes — with true figures. Use your bank deposits and W-2 to get the numbers right, then generate a clean statement. Creating documents with false information to obtain housing or credit is fraud, and our terms prohibit it.
